Thinking of leaving my A.A. group

Yeah... I had a recent falling out with the group guru.
.
I'm sick of his shit obviously and just don't think we have anything more to offer each other.
.
I'm not in a position to stay there and sort of free lance so to speak... which is what I desire to do now.
.
I don't feel like I need to belong to any group.
.
I feel like I can do with or without A.A. to be honest.
.
I certainly don't feel fear nor regret in backing off.
.
I think there are some sick fucks in A.A. doing weird things to themselves. I don't think one A.A.er can harm another too much.
.
You have to sign up for letting another person screw you over.
.
I just don't buy into the victim/liberal bullshit.
.
For this reason, I could never be a good anti/ex A.A.er.
.
We'll see how this goes.
.
I'll keep y'all posted, even though there is no longer a y'all out there.

  1. I know this is an old post. But I agree. Just saying. I still go to a less dogmatic and less repetitive other 12 step program for an "psychological issue" (I'm not saying which one.) I still get something out of that but AA had become at best flat and at worse a little dangerous psychologically.

  3. I hope it worked for you and if still an issue, you're still treating it properly. I'm doing well and still not thirsty for booze.
